RAW space, spatial modularity of a workspace with mobile home and sanitary appliances.
On renting a raw space at the old hosiery factory of legwear Du Parc, at Aalst, Belgium, (where the felt chairs FF1 are manufactured) an idea rose up : imagine using it as a residence, how to incorporate home and sanitary appliances in a concrete space of 50 m² that has only 2 power sockets and 1 sink ?

Most types of residences use separate room types so I had some additional demands on the idea/concept : use mobile systems, use a central space for multiple purposes, and the principle 'if you don't use it, put it away in a corner, or storage space'.
So I started to develop low cost mobile systems.
Mobile bath with PVC corrugated sheet. A 10 liter bucket is placed in the tub with a portable shower pump. (here the bucket is shown outside the tub)
After showering, the tub can easily be lifted to pour the water back into the bucket.
A mini washing machine (3 kg capacity) is mounted on a hacked Ikea Rigga clothes rack.
While the washing machine is running, the mobile frame is fastened to the concrete floor with 2 heavy duty suction cups (110 kg each) to prevent the washing machine from dancing away like a wild mustang on spinning.
Mobile scaffold as kitchenette.
The central space is used for : creating design objects, showering, cinema soirée (beamer projection on the wall) and to stay overnight.
Ikea moving boxes are turned upside down, the opening flaps are now doors of a cabinet.
Park view.
View to the entrance, notice 2 types of sofa-beds.
Storage space, notice the mobile washing machine and bath in the corner.
